Just a showcase of some of my work as a videographer.

All this footage was shot on the Panasonic HMC 150 at either 1080p or 720p. A wide range of images to show what I’m capable of in various lighting conditions; natural, low and with lighting kits. Most of the shooting that I do is live musical and concert footage. However, I do have experience shooting commercials, films and for web.

There are no special attachments on the camera, i.e. DoF adapter. Just a straight HMC 150. The only modifications were done to the scene files.

Finally, all footage was shot by myself from Jan ’09 to Oct ’09.

The Public – Ghost

This was the first video I was ever Director of Photography and Camera Op for by The Public. Shot on my old Canon XL1s, I still think I did an excellent job and I’m really proud of the images I capture that day.

Predicting the Weather

This is a recut version of a short film I directed for the 48 Hour Film Fest. Sean Fairburn did a fabulous job as DP. Jim Fitzmorris wrote the script. The acting talent was superb!

A spot I did for Current TV about the all dog Mardi Gras parade called Krewe of Barkus. Great stuff and wonderful people. I loved it so much, my dog became a member and marched in the very next parade.

Demo Reel 2009

This is my Director / Editor Demo Reel for march 2009. It features four projects that I’ve worked on. The first two are music videos that I’ve done for Andy Overslaugh and Noisician Coalition (two New Orleans, LA bands). The last two are excerpts from two short films. The first one entitled “Predicting the Weather” and the last entitled “Sex Between Us.” I picked the particular clips of the short films because I felt that I it best shows the performance that I was able to help the actor achieve in the scene that they are in. I still love watching these moments and marvel and their performances…. performances that are a direct result of my work with them.

Fun fact: My nickname is “Penguin” and I often ask people to call me that on sets because a typical set contains at least three Davids.
